Volunteering
_Compassion 4 Kids International, Inc. Helping Children Since October 2005
Volunteering is a noble and right choice to do. It is not only something heart warming but can be a great impact upon a child's life.
Volunteering to go to Indonesia
As of October 2011, Cikal Hope for Children do not have enough children for a part time or full time volunteer within the home. But we have a private school that may take some volunteers for a month or more to help teach English.
English is taught to older grade school children and into middle and high school. So if you would like to apply for a specific period of time with a minimum of 30 days and up to 11 months, we will search out the possible schools you can mainly work in. Most of your scheduled daily work will be with them but you will also work within our program for our children and our facilities.
The Volunteer program is not free. We do not have the support that allows for supporting a person while they are working. Volunteering is not like helping in your church, a government position, or helping someone that is elderly or sick. We do have an Adventure Fee you will need to pay, depending upon how long you will be staying. It will mainly be for your room and board, some travel expenses, and some for supporting the program.
If you look at it as a vacation cost of going somewhere, you pay all the costs for that and your volunteer work is helping children.
Go to our Contact Page and send us a message to get more information. When a missionary decides to go to a foreign land to work, they spend months raising their support. The amount that you need to raise is small compared to what a missionary is required to have and we at C4KII take very little of that support for supporting you.
