YOU .... are thinking of supporting a specific child. That is normally what we do but the two children below came into our lives and now could be part of yours. We could not wait and began to take care of them in our Indonesian home. Each child below would love to have your love to take care of them even though you are about 10,000 miles apart. Read each of their stories below and maybe, just maybe you would even like to take both of them to be part of your family.
One question I am asked over and over is "How can I be sure my support is supporting the specific child I am wanting to support." We are one of the few charities that has a way for you to do that. Once we have set up the support for the child or children you pick, we will require the home to make themselves available for you to have internet chats or video chats with them periodically when you want to talk with them. You will be interacting with them and they will feel part of your life and you a part of theirs. All of you will rejoice beyond what you can imagine.
In John 15:13 it says "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." Are you willing to lay down a cola, cup of coffee, a couple of snacks, or a piece of pizza each day and save a life of a Street Child? If so, begin as soon as possible and your life will change. Get your spouse, family, or office co-workers to join with you and support two or three. We want you to join with us to Reach One - Save One. For a street child, no matter the country they are in, are lower than a pig, just like swine searching for food in a dump, just to survive if you do not get involved.
To specifically support a child we ask that you meet more of the needs of that child. For only $2.00 per day ($60 per month) you will support the child of your choice or choices. You and your family or friends will feel differently about your children, your spouse, and your friends for the rest of your life. The child you choose will also change from being totally unloved to loving you even though you are 10,000 miles apart. In their mind, they will feel they belong to you for you will have saved them out of a life of ....... being nothing to anyone. Zeri Gutja Gytaoea
2011 Zeri is a 9 year old boy. His father died, we are told, in 2006. His mother left the home believing she would be working at a good paying job away from home. She disappeared when she left just after our Thanksgiving in 2009 and has not been seen since. She was to send home funds but never was heard from to date (1/1/2012)
Zeri has many friends at school, at church, and in the neighborhood.
Cikal Hope for Children found Zeri, his brother Maickel, and an older sister after being told they were beggin' for money, food, and school supplies. He is a very nice boy with great ethical and moral values wanting you to just show a little love to him.
You may send him emails through C4KII and we will forward them through, to the parent. Once we have you matched up you will be able to make appointments to chat with Zeri and the parent from time to time. We will be training them to speak English and at some point an interpreter will not be needed.
