Project Indonesia

Compassion 4 Kids International Reaching Out to Invisible Street Children Since October 2005

Cikal Hope for Children Foundation

Picture
The Cikal House to the left  came about in 2006 when a neighbor offered to sell his house so they could move to a different neighborhood. Cikal Hope for Children became the Indonesian foundation to oversee taking in and taking care of children and supported by Compassion 4 Kids International, Inc. by the support that those like you send support to help children. This gave 4 children a place to live, not to be abused by a grandmother, or not taken care of by a mother that had no hope for enough income to support them.

To enable us to provide more support for additional children, your support of any amount will help. Even if you send us $10.00 per month or $30.00 dollars per quarter, it will help. If you are able to send monthly, it will help to take street children that sleep anywhere they can.

Now we want to remodel just a little and make a difference by taking up to 8 street children by rescuing them off of the streets of Medan and surrounding area.

Cikal House

By taking a left on the sidewalk you come to the Cikal House. It is a small 3 bedroom house after a remodel in 2008. We enclosed the back porch with a roof and added a room for a toilet and bathing area.

We took in 4 children 5 years old to 14 years old and loved them dearly. The children came from a family of 5 and the mother was too poor to take care of them, and so we took them in.

In 2009 we were informed that the mother had been taken to the hospital and approximately 2 months later she died from complications. On her death bed she requested that her twin sister be contacted to see if she would take the children. The sister was not introduced to us when we took the children in.

Upon her death they came and took the children and took them to the twin sisters home on the other side of Sumatra from Medan.

Then we took in 3 children upon finding out that the mother was promised a job, somewhere, and would be sending money home to her children, but once she was outside of sight, she was not heard from until August 2012 and may return home (no money) during September 2012.

Before we take in additional children we want to make some some slight alterations to the house so we can take in additional children. Immediately we want to purchase one more bunk beds but if enough is raised we will purchase 2 or 3 bunk beds.

We would also like to see enough people to also sponsor or support these children to not only give them a home but to allow them to have someone to give them personal attention, even if it is 10,000 miles away. If you do this, the child will love you for the rest of their life. Without being rescued they will continue into a life of hopelessness.

This room will hold 3 or 4 bunk beds for 6 to 8 children that are now living a life of hopelessness.

Cikal House Need, September 2012

We invite you to join with others and help us prepare this room of the Cikal house to accommodate a total of 4 children with the addition of one more bunk bed. We will make the large room into being the new children/s bedroom. The current bunk bed room will become the new parent's room.

This will need your support of more than $250.00 so that we can bring in 4 Invisible Street Children. Help us now so that we can have the foundation begin locating up to 4 children to become part of our family there in Indonesia.

Fill out the registration below and help us with this expansion project.
