Cikal Hope for Children Foundation
The Cikal House to the left came about in 2006 when a neighbor offered to sell his house so they could move to a different neighborhood. Cikal Hope for Children became the Indonesian foundation to oversee taking in and taking care of children and supported by Compassion 4 Kids International, Inc. by the support that those like you send support to help children. This gave 4 children a place to live, not to be abused by a grandmother, or not taken care of by a mother that had no hope for enough income to support them.
To enable us to proved more support for additional children, your support of any amount will help. Even if you send us $30 or more dollars per quarter, it will help. If you are able to send monthly, it will help to take children that sleep on the ground, into a home even sooner. Below is the Cikal house and the construction of adding a more modern bathroom in the back.
Cikal House
This slide show shows you the house we have to raise up to 4 children. From when Joe first saw it, they have enclosed the back porch. Part of this enclosure allowed the home to have a modern toilet. Well almost modern. You do get to sit down instead of squatting over a hole in the floor. But you still use the quart sauce pan to take water from the water storage and use it to flush the toilet.
In time we hope to have an instant hot, hot and cold water shower head put in for those many showers a person takes per day. Sometimes the day is so warm and humid that 3 to 5 baths are needed to keep one;s self feeling proper.
The well is about 20 feet deep and is not drinkable from the faucet ... that is if we had a faucet to fill a glass full of water.
With someone like you supporting a building program project, we would be able to add the shower head, screens on all the windows, a front screen door, and some ceiling fans that will keep the air moving and keep one's self a little cooler.
Additional child support would enable us to take in more children to give them a home that all children should have instead of living a life of dispair.
