Being Grandparents is something very, very special. Someone said that grandchildren are the rewards for having children.
In too many cases that may be more true than it should be. Do you have grandchildren. Wonderful and it is a blessing to have them come visit like this picture depicts. Have you read the story about the Sisters? Joe, a Grandparent, had a very hard time writing it as it happens too many times a week or month. So too many times children lose one or both parents. Most of them have grandparents but the child or children do not remember where they live and the grand parents would not be able to afford to take care of them, usually. Street Children have no hope of being with anyone, especially if they are under 12 years old when they end up on the streets. Think of what a child thinks when they are 4 to 8 years old or even 9 to 11. Could you think of what one of these children had a new set of Grandparents, or even just one Grandparent? The worst thing that could happen is that it would not happen for you to want to be their grandparent. About 13 children are introduced in the harshest of circumstances each day and become A Street Child. We cannot look for one until someone like you or the two of you want to become a long distance Grandparent. There are no adoption forms, just a special form for us to know you are committed to support one or more children for a long period of time. They will regard you as their Guardian Grandparent Angel. It will create smiles in knowing they belong to someone. They need someone to say "I love you" once in awhile for without you, they will never hear those words, ever again. We won't be able to save the over 3,250 new street children going onto the streets today in India and Indonesia, but with your support we can go out and find ONE MORE child. WOW! What a good feeling that is each time we do it and you can have that same feeling. NOW is the Time! Yesterday is history and today another 350 new children became street children in Indonesia and 2,900 in India.
Right now is the time to begin helping a child. As is said above, as a
little as $5.00 helps and if you can send $40.00 what a blessing that
you will have and a child will believe that you are their Guardian
Angel. That is only $1.34 a day set aside.
That usually is not hard to do. There are many things in our life that we spend money on that is not necessary or healthy or both but we just do them because they taste so good. Maybe you smoke and a pack costs $2.30 or more and what a way to have a goal to stop smoking just to help a child. Just is a harsh word as it convicts of how can change but the urge says to not stop. Just is also a word that describes a Street Child. When asked why they are so dirty, or why are they begging for money, or why don't they go home ..... the comment from the rich and famous ..... all those people that make a $1.25 per day from 8 to 10 hours a day of work ...... That is what they say, "They are JUST a Street Child. They eat food right along with the pigs at the landfill. Who cares about them anyway?" I hope you do not think that way for a child is a child no matter where they live in this world. We should CRY OUT, HELP A CHILD.
