Partnering to help at work may take a little more preparation that going to your church. Why? Unless they are all Christians, they may not have any desire for any kind of mission's program. Most people say that this is such a wonderful thing your are doing. They congratulate you and pat you on your ego. Depending upon your office or work place, it depends as to how you tell them your story. It will be your story and you have to tell the story in such a way as it will need to pull on their heart strings differently than Christians. Some will say that they do not support anything overseas. They probably do not support anything. So it is again a teaching and learning process. Children are children no matter where they are in the world. Forcing a girl at age 8 to 10 into prostitution, or the same aged boys being abused by pedophiles, everyone you talk to will be appalled to that. It may take a few hours to day to weeks before any of them will commit to helping financially. But one one begins in front of other, more will join in as time goes by. They will need to know that they are helping a child. In time, all the children will know English and when they can read, write, and speak English, they will be able to write emails and have supervised chats with supporting friends. You will begin to just talk about the children like you know each one, in time. This will be because of prayer and being a Partner working with others doing the same. We hope that our Partners will become a large family, a cohesive group that will wait upon the others, helping them and they helping you in all you do and they do.
