Compassion 4 Kids International, Inc.  is in its infancy compared to many of the charities that you can pick from. So we have very limited support, up to this time and we are able to support only one project at this time.

Each of us have a lot to do in our lives with family, job, church, kids and on and on. How does one get enough time to sneak an hour out of our busy schedule to help someone on a continuing daily or weekly schedule. When Joe and his wife Jean, were in their middle 40s, a plea was made for semi-short term serving missionaries in a foreign country. It was to be host and hostess, cleaning and some maintenance with a commitment of one year. You could stay longer but it was only for a one year period of time they were looking for.

It was very tempting and we thought periodically about doing it but we were always too busy and with a house payment, children in school, and other reasons, we did not feel we could financially afford it. We put God in a box that we had made and did not go. Then when we no longer had children at home and will little funds, an opportunity came to help in a short term missions program doing medical clinics on the Mentawai Islands. After prayer and more interest than before, God took me out of the box and allowed me to go there to help children and adults. What a concept, climbing out of your box and allowing God to provide the financial needs to go half way around the world to help someone that may not have seen a white person for over 10 or more years, or maybe never.

So how would you even consider going on a short term mission's vacation and help and serve others? First is Prayer. Prayer is more important than any other method for helping you reason out what to do in any area of life.

Some people pray with blind eyes. They speak words out loud or  quietly in their minds. They are superficial as they are said to appease one's own ego in showing their self as being righteous within what they think God is giving His approval. But God looks at their heart and mind and how their follow through with what they are praying and how they are living. Some of them force their ego into doing what they feel is good and right and some things do come out right, but they do not give God the honor and glory for what has been done. I hope this isn't you.

So take time to pray for your desires and for the needs of your family, whether with or without kids. Pray for the direction of how you can be used to reach out to ................ a child ............... or children ............... and see if the seed is sown within you to develop a God led desire to reach out to other children, around the world by 10,000 miles, and there you are ........... sitting down at your computer writing us an email. This way will allow you to make a more viable decision in Partnering with, us whether it is at home, at church, at work, as a Director, or in Stabat for a week or so once in awhile.

When it comes to God, there are no boxes we have to put ourselves in to make sure it is within it's limits of what we think we can do and how many times we can do it.
