Visit to Indonesia
The founder of Compassion 4 Kids Int., Joseph Burke, is in Indonesia at this time to do the annual audit and see what needs are there to enable you, through us, to take more children off of the streets of the Medan, Sumatra area.
Joseph was taken to hospital twice because of very severe chest pains on January 16th and January 20. He was able to get the books audited and children found to be well taken care of but is cancelling rest of trip. He will try to get flight modified to go back to USA as soon as possible, Hopefully he will be home to see doctors on Monday January 23, 2012.
There are over 20,000 street children in Medan, Indonesia that did not receive a toy for Christmas or any other time, have one meal with nutritious food, one person that would say "I love you", or a safe place to sleep. Get involved, ask us HOW YOU CAN HELP.

Our website name will be changing!
Soon our website name will be changing. Our name will be Street Children Rescue. This change is to separate the confusion of what others do and what we do for children. We do not find children in home like most of them do. We search the streets for the children that do not have a parent, no one to tell them that they love them or say "I love you Mom" or "I love you Dad." For they have no one to show love or be loved. Visit to India
This part of the trip is cancelled for this year. Joe hopes to regain his health for return in January 2013. With you financial help, the building process should be complete except for lighting fixtures that he wants to pick out while there.
Joe is also going next to India following the stop in Indonesia. First stop is Hyderabad to get his visa extended for a 5 or 10 year period. Hopefully it will only take one or two days and then onto Vijayawada. Here Joe will spend 2 days evaluating the children's home there, Grace and Mercy. He will evaluate their operation that has approximately 100 children and room for 148 children. They also have a Feed the Children program that provides a meal at least once a month to over 1,400 children.
Then onto Narasaraopet to visualize the construction of the home for up to 8 children. India has 1/3 of the world's Street Children. Children do not deserve living on the streets, no matter where they live in the world. We ask for your financial support to facilitate RESCUE a child off of the street and allow them to have a normal "child's" life. The two little girls to the right have no parents, no older siblings and no one to turn to for help. They do not trust anyone for they became orphaned, not by choice, but because no family member (if found) or family friend would take them into their home and take care of them. They are taking a bath in a polluted stream that flows near of where they live ..... a hiding place they would not show us. She has a scowl on her face indicating to us to leave her alone. They may find some food scraps someone threw away to eat today, or usually not.
They will beg for money, food, and/or steal to live ..... until most of them will be taken in by a "boss". This boss will provide a place to sleep and may give them one meal a day until they are old enough .... 8 to 10 years old ... and will usually prostitute them out or many will be sold on the human slave market for household slaves or to be used in prostitution in another Asian country, including the USA.
Join with others and work through us to help these children. We have many different projects that you can support with a designated gift or place towards the general budget for helping in all areas that we go. The support for one child for a month is more than $40.00 per month. We accept whatever amount you can afford to help the children. We also have specific needs that we need for expanding or completing our facilities in the foreign countries, personal care items, home furnishings, food preparations and use for eating and food, bedding, and the list goes on.
In India we are wanting to complete a one floor area to house 8 or more children. As of October 2011 we need additional funds of $4,000.00 to complete the construction phase. We also need on top of that, beds, bedding, towels, chairs, desk, cooking pots and pans, dishes, eat ware, large table, and much more.

Street Children trying to survive.
Some of the children in nearby villages receive food once a month from the children's home. They are very malnourished and bring a bucket so they can share with siblings later. With your support, we can help more like this and we can also take more children into the children's home where they also receive love, 3 meals a day, education, and much more. Paying it Forward to Expand Facilities
So now you understand what Pay It Forward is. Are you able to help more than one child? We are in the middle of building a home (including rooms) for more than one child. Would you like to expand your Pay It Forward to help in this project, we need about $5,000 to finish the construction project for taking up to 8 children off of the streets and into a home for them.
In this picture you see the pink colored wall which is the painted 1st floor of this home of our host family. We have signed a lease to construct a 2nd floor which will enable a visitor to have a room/bath area, 4 bunks beds, a parent's room, a great room, and a kitchen.
